Moore Time
This page is dedicated to a gentleman that meant the world to the Texas Liver Coalition and his multitude of friends. A way to honor Dean Moore and all the work he did in the hepatitis field (hosting the Hep C Radio Show on KPFT 90.1, advocating on behalf of the Texas Liver Coalition, starting the H.E.A.T. Foundation, and numerous other endeavors in the community) is to have a special web page named "Moore Time". All the people that knew Dean would like him to have "Moore Time" with us, educating, bringing awareness about hepatitis to the community, and seeing his smile. A way for us to remember Dean is to go out and spend "Moore Time" in the community and being an advocate for liver disease and educating the community regarding this deathly disease. God Bless you Dean!
Remembering Dean

L. Dean Moore III
St. Luke's Texas Liver Coalition
Community Laison
Died: March 24, 2008
Dean worked tirelessly with soulmate Shelly Baker for the Coalition as our Community Laison. Best known for their Hepatitis C Radio Show, he also worked throughout the recovery community "preaching" hepatitis C awareness and testing alongside Shelly. He spearheaded our Meridian Blues in C: Hepatitis C Awareness Blues Festival. Dean was an advocate for those in recovery and those with liver disease.
This page is to remember Dean's wicked smile and wild spirit, to remember to live hard and not to look back, to look at yourself and your past fearlessly.
If you have the risk factors, get tested!
Remember him well.
We will miss you Dean!
Please get tested if you think you have any of the risk factors for hepatitis C. This is not a test your doctor will routinely screen you for.
See complete list of risk factors here (Hepatitis Risk Factors).
Please feel free to share any memories about Dean with us at hguerrero@sleh.com.
If you do not want them posted online just make note of that in the email. |
